CODE OF CONDUCT FOR GULLY CRICKET CLUB
At practice or in the game, the captain, or in his absence, the vice-captain shall settle the order in which members are to bat, bowl, or field.
The Captains are responsible at all times for ensuring that play is conducted within the Spirit of Cricket as well as within the Laws
Club Members must at all times accept the Umpire’s decision. Players must not show dissent at the Umpire’s decision or react in a provocative or disappointing manner towards an Umpire at any time
Club Members shall not use crude and/or abusive language (known as “sledging”) nor make offensive gestures or hand signals nor deliberately distract an opponent
The captain shall at all time act in such a way so as to command the respect of his players and supporters alike.
Club Members shall not intimidate, assault or attempt to intimidate or assault an Umpire, another player or a supporter
If any member of the Gully Cricket Club appears to be intoxicated and/or under the influence of drugs, including performance-enhancing drugs, prior to any of the Gully Cricket Club sponsored event, that member will be asked to leave immediately and be subject to a disciplinary hearing by the Executive Board.
The Gully Cricket Club encourages fair play and friendly sportsmanship during practices and contests shall conduct themselves in a proper manner. Any sportsmanship issues with members will be dealt with by the Executive Board.
All players shall be dressed with the proper attire to play the league games.
Additionally, all playing members are also expected to abide by all the league and competition rules that are imposed upon the club.
Any member violating the code of conduct or any of the club By-Laws shall be disciplined by the Executive Board.
